INSURANCE REINSTATEMENT WORKS

The Practice has extensive experience in dealing with clients in connection with insurance claims. This includes subsidence, fire and storm damage cases.

We specialise in providing this service to clients which includes assessing insurance policy documents and advising the client of any potential claim. Liaising with the clients insurance company/loss adjustor in agreeing the extent of works required. Preparing Specifications of Work to include drawings as required, obtaining tenders, monitoring the work on site.

Services to clients typically include the following :

1. Initial inspection of insurance damage, assessment of claim and advice to client
2. Preparation of initial report to insurance company to appoint Loss Adjustor
3. Liaison with Loss Adjustor to agree extent of work required in accordance with insurance policy
4. Agreeing with Loss Adjustor for the involvement of the Practice to act on behalf of the client from inception to completion
5. Preparation of Specification of works together with building plans as applicable
6. Advice on type of contract to be used and preparation of documents
7. Obtaining tenders
8. Monitoring work on site
9. Preparing valuations and financial statements during building operations
10. Preparation of progress reports
11. Agreeing Contractors final accounts
12. Monitoring works up to practical completion
13. Monitoring defects occurring and ensuring the defects are rectified both during the rectification period and on completion of same
14. Certifying completion of the project with the Loss Adjustor/insurance company
